Ronald Reagan: A Man of Faith

It's saddening that instead of hearing our leaders honor the one true God, the three in one, like Ronald Reagan did, these days they rather tend to praise the "holy" Quran and Islam as the "religion of peace."

Irony

Isn't it ironic how the US military is struggling to combat sexual abuse and suicides within its ranks, but instead of embracing the very thing that will truly change men's hearts against these behaviors, they are rejecting it?  Of course I am talking about faith in God and his Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
(See previous post on anti-Christian activities in the US military.)

Military May Court Martial Soldiers Who Proselytize

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
"And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest questioned them, saying, “We strictly charged you not to teach in this name, yet here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you intend to bring this man's blood upon us.” But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree. God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”" (Acts 5:27-32)
"So in the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or this undertaking is of man, it will fail; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!”" (Acts 5:38-39)

From Breitbart.com:

PENTAGON MAY COURT MARTIAL SOLDIERS WHO SHARE CHRISTIAN FAITH
by KEN KLUKOWSKI  1 May 2013

The Pentagon has released a statement confirming that soldiers could be prosecuted for promoting their faith: "Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense...Court martials and non-judicial punishments are decided on a case-by-case basis...”.

The statement, released to Fox News, follows a Breitbart News report on Obama administration Pentagon appointees meeting with anti-Christian extremist Mikey Weinstein to develop court-martial procedures to punish Christians in the military who express or share their faith.

(From our earlier report: Weinstein is the head of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, and says Christians--including chaplains--sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the military are guilty of “treason,” and of committing an act of “spiritual rape” as serious a crime as “sexual assault.” He also asserted that Christians sharing their faith in the military are “enemies of the Constitution.”)

Being convicted in a court martial means that a soldier has committed a crime under federal military law. Punishment for a court martial can include imprisonment and being dishonorably discharged from the military.

So President Barack Obama’s civilian appointees who lead the Pentagon are confirming that the military will make it a crime--possibly resulting in imprisonment--for those in uniform to share their faith. This would include chaplains—military officers who are ordained clergymen of their faith (mostly Christian pastors or priests, or Jewish rabbis)--whose duty since the founding of the U.S. military under George Washington is to teach their faith and minister to the spiritual needs of troops who come to them for counsel, instruction, or comfort.

This regulation would severely limit expressions of faith in the military, even on a one-to-one basis between close friends. It could also effectively abolish the position of chaplain in the military, as it would not allow chaplains (or any service members, for that matter), to say anything about their faith that others say led them to think they were being encouraged to make faith part of their life. It’s difficult to imagine how a member of the clergy could give spiritual counseling without saying anything that might be perceived in that fashion....

This is the documentary film about abortionist Dr. Kermit Gosnell in Pennsylvania.

WARNING: This video contains graphic descriptions and images of what this butcher did to women and children, especially those who were born alive.

We must pray for all the women and children affected by abortion, and for the abortion providers.  For the love of God, the taking of innocent human lives in America must end.

Communism Survivor Blasts Gun Grabbers: "You don't know what freedom is"

What follows is the testimony of Manuel Martinez in Salem, Oregon, in support of our Second Amendment rights.  Mr. Martinez saw first-hand the horrors of the communist takeover in Cuba, and fully supports the rights given to us by the Second Amendment to prevent that from happening here.  We should heed his words.

US Army Program Considers Evangelical Christianity "Extremism"

We are at the very beginning of the US government's gradually increasing persecution of Bible-believing Christians--Christians who place their allegiance to Jesus Christ above all others.  Unfortunately, the State is beginning to demand that the Church and Christ followers must subordinate their religious beliefs to the will and morality of the State, much like the Nazi government did in Germany.  This is obviously unacceptable to Bible-believing Christians, and because of this they will therefore be deemed a threat and "extremists" by the State.

However, Army spokesperson George Wright denies this claim:
“The notion that the Army is taking an anti-religion or anti-Christian stance is contrary to any of our policies, doctrines and regulations,” said Army spokesperson George Wright. “Any belief that the Army is out to label religious groups in a negative manner is without warrant.” (The Blaze)
What follows are two examples that contradict Wright's position.  The first example is an Equal Opportunity (EO) presentation reportedly given to US Army Reserve soldiers in Pennsylvania where evangelical Christianity is considered religious "extremism."

According to the EO presentation, an extremist is defined as "[a] person who advocates the use of force or violence; advocates supremacist causes based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or national origin; or otherwise engages to deprive individuals or groups of their civil rights."

As you can see in one of the presentation's slides shown below, evangelical Christianity is placed first in the list of extremist groups, above Al Qaeda, Hamas, and the Ku Klux Klan.

When you look at the notes associated with the presentation's title slide (link here), the Army Equal Opportunity Program apparently obtained some of its data from the Southern Poverty Law Center, who deliberately exaggerated the threat of domestic terrorism from "conservative" groups in a recent report (see article here).

In another slide it states that "Extremist Organization's goals are inconsistent with the Army's goals, beliefs and values with regard to equal opportunity."  Does this mean that is you are an evangelical Christian that you can no longer be a member of the United States Army?

The presentation later states that "Commanders have the inherent authority to prohibit military personnel from engaging in or participating in any other activities the commander determines will adversely affect good order and discipline or morale within the command.  This includes, but is not limited to, the authority to order the removal of symbols, flags, posters, or other displays from barracks, to place areas or activities off-limits, or to order Soldiers not to participate in those activities that are contrary to good order and discipline or morale of the unit or pose a threat to health, safety and security..."

A second example of the Army's increasing anti-Christian stance is how one battalion commander, LTC Jack Rich at Fort Campbell's 101st Airborne Division, uses his authority to denigrate two Christian organizations that support the Christian view of family in an email to his subordinate leaders (link to Todd Starnes who broke this story):
"Just want to ensure everyone is somewhat educated on some of the groups out there that do not share our Army Values," Rich warned. "When we see behaviors that are inconsistent with Army Values--don't just walk by. Do the right thing and address the concern before it becomes a problem." The 14-page email goes on to smear FRC [Family Research Council] and AFA [American Family Association] by name, lumping us in with the real extremists of the Ku Klux Klan, Black Panthers, and neo-Nazis--a la the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). "The religious right in America has employed a variety of strategies in its efforts to beat back the increasingly confident gay rights movement," Rich insists. "One of those has been defamation." They are also guilty, he claims, of "engaging in the crudest type of name-calling, describing LGBT people as 'perverts' with 'filthy habits' who seek to snatch the children of straight parents and 'convert' them to gay sex." (taken from the Family Research Council website)
In my opinion, this is just the beginning of forcing Christians to submit to the morality of the State over that of Christ.

As a nation, we used to have Christ as our King.  Now that a majority of Americans are no longer followers of Christ, but a people who have subordinated Christ to their own selfish desires or do not believe in Him at all, we have now relocated our king to the government.  This will only result in tyranny.
